So this week has been a stressful week. Last Sunday in Corpus Christi, my husband and I were rear ended. Luckily there were no serious injury's and the damage to our car could have been worse. After we were hit I was in a state of shock but managed to drive my car out of the way as it was right in the intersection. I got out and assessed the damage. The other driver pulled over she and her passenger got out of their expedition to come and talk to us. Everything would have been okay except for the fact that they both begged for us to not call the police as they did not have insurance. I called the police anyway and instead of them hanging around to get their citations, her passenger took off running on foot and she got in her car and drove away. I was able to get the complete license plate number and a good description of the driver. We waited on the police to arrive and then proceeded to the ER to get checked out. After 2 hours in the ER we were finally on our way to our original destination, Victoria, TX for business. The entire week I had been reliving the accident and thinking what if I had forced the other driver to stay at the scene? Anyhow, we got home on Thursday and I reached out to a facebook friend who works for an attorney's office and asked for some help to see what our options were. Thankfully, the other driver turned herself in and the police issued her 3 citations. I am happy that she did the right thing and tunred herself in, but now to get my car fixed and see how much our ER visit comes out to...to be continued.
